Conor McGregor hit the scales at 170lbs ahead of his UFC 246 showdown with Donald Cerrone.

"Cowboy" Cerrone, meanwhile, also came in at the welterweight limit.

McGregor will fight at welterweight for just the third time in his professional MMA career, with both of those previous contests coming against Nate Diaz in 2016.

He has previously fought at featherweight (145lbs) and lightweight (155lbs).

Saturday’s showdown in Las Vegas is the Dubliner’s first fight in 15 months - his last appearance in the cage being that submission defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov in October 2018.

Unlike previous fight weeks, there was no animosity between McGregor and his opponent, with "Notorious" and Cerrone laughing and smiling their way through a good-natured press conference on Wednesday.

McGregor even interrupted a question to compliment his opponent on his snakeskin suit.

The amicable atmosphere continued at Friday’s weigh-in. The next time the two men are together will be on opposite sides of the octagon on Saturday.
