Work Continues to Contain California's KNP Complex Fire

The KNP Complex Fire, in California’s Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, had burned 81,473 acres by the early hours of October 6 and was 11 percent contained, latest information said.

According to local reports, more than a dozen homes and buildings have been destroyed by the fire.

A number of evacuation orders were in place along the fire’s perimeter.
