A Solihull 'super home' has been put back on the market for a whopping £3.25 million. The "smart" luxury eco-home was built in 2018 and includes a gym, spa and courtyard garden inside the property.

From its striking exterior, to state-of-the-art technology and unusual features, Hedge House has been branded one of the most unusual houses in the West Midlands. But it has come in for criticism from Solihull residents over the years, with some claiming it was an 'eyesore.'

However it is now back on the market, with selling agents Hanson Partners describing it as "one of the UK's Most exceptional Grand Designs." The property didn't appear on Grand Designs, but Kevin McCloud certainly wouldn't look out of place wandering around its ten metre high atrium or matte black open plan kitchen.

Selling agents pulled outs its key features to be the open internal garden, luxury spa with gym, sauna and hot tub and 6.5 acres of grounds with "unspoilt rural views." Somewhat surprisingly for such a large property, there are only four bedrooms, which are outnumbered by five bathrooms.

There are also two balconies and a master bedroom suite with dressing rooms and a dual bathroom. Hanson Partners said: "Hedge House is a remarkable, contemporary residence set within 6.5 acres of private grounds, offering sweeping rural views. Among the finest homes in Knowle, it provides over 10,000 sq ft of luxurious living space.

"Key features include a striking ten-metre-high glass atrium, three elegant reception rooms, four impressive bedroom suites, and an open-plan kitchen. The property also boasts an exceptional leisure suite with a gym, indoor sauna, and outdoor hot tub, blending modern design with ultimate comfort and style.

"Located near the desirable village of Knowle, Solihull, is an architectural masterpiece designed by renowned architect David Sheppard." Hansons went on to add that all four double bedrooms are located on the first floor in a mirrored layout, connected by a central corridor.

Instead of formal gardens, architect David Sheppard opted for a more sustainable option and instead included wildflower meadows, large grassed areas, a pond, reed beds, fruit trees, and a vegetable plot.

The property listing went live in October but was still for sale in November. More details can be found on RightMove here.
