Convicted murder claims to be behind 90 unsolved murders spanning nearly 40 years

A convicted murderer in the US has claimed he was involved in as many as 90 killings spanning nearly 40 years.

If Samuel Little, 78, is found to be telling the truth, he will become America’s deadliest serial killer.

Little has been convicted of three murders in California and has long been suspected of being involved in numerous other deaths.

According to a Texas prosecutor, Little has provided details in more than 90 deaths dating back to 1970, with investigators corroborating a third of them already.

Ector County District Attorney Bobby Bland said the 78-year-old was booked into jail this week following his indictment in the 1994 death of a Texas woman and investigators with law enforcement agencies in several states have travelled to speak with him about other unsolved murders.

“They’re able to match up over 30 cases so far,” said Bland. “So far we don’t have any false information coming from him.”

Little was convicted in 2014 of the murders of three women – Carol Alford, 41, Audrey Nelson, 35, and Apodaca, 46 – in Los Angeles.

During his 2014 trial in Los Angeles, prosecutors said it was likely that Little was responsible for at least 40 killings since 1980, with authorities looking for links to deaths in Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio and Texas.

Little is next due in court later in November.

If what Little claims is true, he will join the likes of Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy and Harold Shipman as some of the most prolific serial killers ikn the world.
