A busy street in Edinburgh’s city centre has been closed off as emergency services attended an incident.

Police arrived at the east end of Cowgate at around 6:15 pm on Sunday, January 19, cordoning off the area as investigations were carried out.

Photos from the scene show the street taped off, with at least three police vehicles present. Reports suggest that officers were speaking to passing pedestrians, according to EdinburghLive.
