Cordon near M62 as police search bushes
Police have cordoned off bushes next to a motorway. Officers were pictured on Court Hey Avenue in Huyton just before midday today, Monday, November 13.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed to the ECHO it was part of "ongoing searches" currently being carried out, however was unable to provide more information at this time. Photos taken by an eyewitness showed a large cordon surrounding bushes near to the M62.
Around six officers wearing caps and in all black were pictured behind the cordon, carrying out searches of the bushes. One officer appeared to be holding shears and another was seen holding a clipboard.

Cars and pedestrians appeared to be able to drive and walk down Court Hey Avenue as the cordon only surrounded the wooded area. Another picture showed three officers surrounding a dense bush. We will bring you the latest updates on this incident when we receive them.
