Cornwall pub has 'the best Sunday roast in Britain'
The top 50 best places in Britain to go for a Sunday roast have been revealed, with a venue in Cornwall making this year's prestigious list. The Good Food Guide’s Best Sunday Roast, supported by Koffmann’s Potatoes and Tracklements, asked diners across the country to nominate their favourite place for a Sunday roast.
And when it came to Cornwall's diners, there was one clear favourite. St Kew Inn in Bodmin has been hailed as having the best roast in Cornwall, in the South West England category.
In fact, one of the very latest reviews left on TripAdvisor echoes exactly these thoughts. 'Richard H' left this review when they visited this month: "Best Sunday Roast. One of the best Sunday lunches we have had in a long time. Excellent value for money. Starters, mains and puds all interesting. Monkfish starter and beets salad starter brilliant. Sirloin and pork belly mains also great. Loads of vegetables and nice Yorkshire pudding. Crumble for pud had to be shared as full, yum."

And TripAdvisor reviewer 'David H' went there for a meal last month. They also praised the roasts, sharing: "Exceptional Sunday roast, thank you. We were made very welcome by the friendly staff who accommodated us and our dog despite having not booked and during peak service. The house wine was excellent and the local real ale perfect. Thanks again, highly recommended."
The Good Food Guide also quizzed its readers about their Sunday roast habits, giving an insight into Britain’s favourite meal. Half of Good Food Guide readers eat a roast on another day of the week than Sunday, with 79 per cent eating a Sunday roast all year round.

"The Guide’s search for the Best Sunday Roast, sponsored by Koffmann’s Potatoes and Tracklements, underlines the importance of championing those restaurants, pubs and cafes that are the backbone of the British dining scene.
