Coronation Street to air new Joel mysteries as downfall gets closer
Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street villain Joel Deering becomes increasingly erratic next week as his comeuppance seems to be getting ever closer.
The tables finally started to turn on Joel this week as Dee-Dee Bailey and DS Swain convinced Ellie – one of his former victims – to make an official statement against him.
Walcotts, the legal firm Joel used to work for, also agreed to get involved in the case against him after previously helping to cover up his wrongdoing.
In next week's episodes, Joel's behaviour takes an unpredictable turn as he makes several surprising decisions.

First up, Joel approaches Dee-Dee with their wedding rings and announces that he still loves her.
Joel appears emotional and desperate as he claims that the rings are a reminder of everything he has lost.
Dee-Dee is disgusted by his behaviour, forcing her father Ed and uncle Ronnie to step in – but will they take the law into their own hands?

Later in the week, Lauren Bolton updates Dee-Dee on Joel's movements as she's still secretly monitoring him via a tracking app.
Lauren explains that Joel has been spending considerable amounts of time in a field and an industrial park.
To make matters more confusing, Joel has also sent £5,000 to Lauren's bank account with no explanation. Could this be a trap?
By the end of the week, Joel sits alone in his flat and writes a note, before heading to the café on a new mission.
Clearly drunk as he stumbles in clutching a bottle of whisky, Joel locks the door behind him and confronts Roy Cropper. Is Roy in danger?
Coronation Street airs these scenes in the week commencing Monday, September 23.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
