Coronation Street airs threat scene in Dylan and Mason story

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street has aired a shocking threat in Dylan and Mason's feud.

The grudge between the schoolboys has escalated since Mason was released from a young offenders facility for threatening Liam Connor with a knife. Dylan had originally backed Mason, but eventually helped bring him down in court.

Stu Carpenter has shown compassion for Mason since he's been released from custody, as Mason recently revealed his brother had abused him.

While Mason initially rejected any help from Stu and Yasmeen, he changed his mind after Betsy Swain encouraged him to milk the couple for all the money he could.

In Wednesday's (August 7) episode, Stu faced a backlash for hiring Mason as a potwasher at Speed Daal. Mason had to deal with threats from Liam's stepfather Gary Windass on his first day, while Dylan's dad Sean Tully publicly complained too.

"All we are trying to do is help," Yasmeen told an irate Gary.

Gary was ultimately thrown out of Speed Daal when he tried to grab Mason by the collar and order him to stay away from Liam.

Later, Betsy Swain visited Mason at Speed Daal. As the pair flirted, Betsy was annoyed to learn that Dylan had sent Mason down for bullying.

With the tension reaching a fever pitch in Speed Daal, Betsy warned Dylan he better not cause trouble for Mason because there would be consequences.

"You ought to watch yourself. I'm serious," Betsy threatened.

Back at home, Sean promised Dylan he wouldn't let Mason anywhere near him. Dylan assured Sean he wasn't worried, but was worriedly searching for something on his laptop.

What is Dylan planning?
