Coronation Street Amy Barlow's fate 'revealed' after night out - and fans are horrified
Coronation Street fans are “fearing the worst” after Amy Barlow appeared to go missing after a night out.
The character (Elle Mulvaney) has been a staple on the soap since 2004. And as the daughter of icon Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson), Amy’s played a part in several big storylines.
Most notably in 2023, when she was raped by Aaron Sandford (James Craven) following a night out. The ordeal left Amy traumatised, but Aaron insisted that their encounter had been consensual.
Despite never facing justice for his crimes, Aaron fled Weatherfield at the end of 2023. However, over on the cobbles this week, things took a dramatic turn for Amy.

During Wednesday’s episode (January 29), Amy decided to head out in the evening for a friend's party. As she arrived at the venue, she was left stunned to come face to face with Eric (Craig Cheetham), Aaron’s father.
Eric then informed Amy that he was attending Aaron’s stag-do, and he was arriving soon in a taxi. He also told her that he is expecting a child with his fiancee - leaving Amy horrified.
Overcome with emotion, she quickly fled before dropping her belongings on the floor. Eric called over to see if she was ok - but an emotional Amy insisted she was fine.
While this happened though, Steve was spending time with Leanne (Jane Danson) and ended up sleeping together. As a result, Steve failed to spot urgent messages on his phone from Amy.
Via messages, Amy revealed she lost her car keys and her phone was about to run out of battery. However, Steve never saw the messages, leaving Amy’s fate and whereabouts unknown.
Now, fans fear she could have been abducted by Aaron’s father or even Aaron himself. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person mused: “Really hope Amy’s ok!”
A second replied: “I think Aaron’s dad followed her.” Someone else penned: “If something happens to Amy or she goes missing he definitely will have had something to do with it.” A fourth person said: “Yes he said Aaron was arriving soon as well.” Another declared: “Can’t help but think the worst!”
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
