Yahoo News Coronation Street confirms Ali and Maria outcome
Coronation Street has confirmed that Ali Neeson and Maria Connor will become a proper couple next week.
The show's new pairing defy disapproval from Ali's mum Michelle (Kym Marsh) and decide to make a go of their relationship in upcoming scenes.
Next week's spoilers have revealed that Michelle reacts badly when she discovers that Ali and Maria are attracted to each other.
Michelle spitefully suggests that Maria is only interested in Ali's money, leaving him mortified by his mother's rude behaviour.

Later on, Michelle backs down and apologises to Maria, explaining that she's merely overprotective when it comes to Ali (James Burrows).
Having second thoughts of her own, Maria insists that it wouldn't have worked out anyway as Ali is nine years younger than her.
Maria's dismissive comment isn't how she really feels, but she's horrified to realise that a heartbroken Ali has overheard her.
Later in the week, Maria's brother Kirk becomes a surprising ally by urging her not to give up on Ali since she clearly fancies him.

Taking this advice on board, Maria comes up with a plan and drags Ali back to her flat to listen to the radio.
When the DJ reads out a request from Maria, dedicating her song to Ali, he's touched and they kiss passionately. Can they be happy together?
Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria, recently backed the new couple by pointing out: "They're both single for a start, so she's not starting off her usual way which is to have an affair! Ali seems to really like her and he's not bothered by the fact she's got Liam. We'll see."
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, July 26 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
