Coronation Street confirms future of Joseph Brown's new storyline
Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Joseph Brown will face major changes in his life as a new storyline continues in Coronation Street.
The boy has been stuck in the middle of a proxy fight between his stepmum Gemma Winter and grandmother Linda Hancock ever since Linda returned to Weatherfield.
Linda had accused Gemma of poisoning the boy until it was eventually revealed that Joseph had been diagnosed with Lyme Disease.
Gemma also resisted Linda's efforts to fund Joseph's education at the prestigious Oakhill School, but the child is determined to earn an invitation to the institution in upcoming scenes.
With Gemma now giving her blessing, Joseph will be accompanied by his parents to attend the entrance exam at the private school.

Joseph does so well on his entrance exam that it's not long before Gemma receives a call announcing he has been granted an at-home interview with the Oakhill admissions officer.
Gemma and Chesney set about trying to spruce up their house to impress the Oakhill official, Dawn, but they'll have to do more than tidying to make a good impression.
If Joseph does get accepted to the school, Linda will likely have even more influence over her grandson's life since she's footing the bill.
Producer Iain MacLeod recently hinted that Gemma and Chesney may be making a bargain they aren't prepared for in accepting Linda's money.

"Joseph's fairy godmother turns up in the shape of Linda," the producer told Digital Spy. "She decides that she's going to fix all this and starts throwing money at the situation, which puts Chesney and Gemma in this impossible quandary – in that by accepting financial help from Linda, they're giving up control of Joseph's life.
"They feel: 'This is our son and we should be making these decisions'. It doesn't feel right that Linda is wading in with her chequebook and saving the day. But on the other side of it, they have to prioritise what's right for Joseph, who is having a hard time and could do with the support."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
