Coronation Street confirms who really knocked over Eliza

Coronation Street has confirmed who really knocked over Eliza.
In September, young Eliza had to be hospitalised when she ran out into the road during a row with grandfather Stu and was struck by a car. The car zoomed off without the driver being identified.
This strand started coming together with the upcoming teen bullying storyline in Monday's (October 2) episode when Tyrone was visited at the garage by a police officer.

The officer asked to examine Tyrone's car because there was reason to believe it had been involved in a recent hit-and-run crash.
Teens Mason, Dylan and Liam happened to see Tyrone speaking with the police officer from a far, leading a panicked Mason to run away in fear.
Tyrone got the wrong end of the stick, though, and confronted his mum Cassie at the cafe with questions about where she was on the day of the hit-and-run.
Cassie pleaded her innocence and insisted she was nowhere near the scene of the crime, yet it was obvious her mum Evelyn didn't believe she was telling the truth.
The accusation sent Cassie into another downward spiral and she was later found drunk by Kevin Webster in the park. Knowing Cassie couldn't go home in this state, Kevin offered her a bed at No.13 for the night.
Meanwhile, the real culprit of the hit-and-run crash was finally revealed when Mason confessed to Liam and Dylan that he'd stolen Tyrone's car and accidentally knocked over Eliza.
He begged his friends to give him an alibi if they were questioned by police. Will Mason get away with the crime?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
