Coronation Street Dee-Dee's next heartbreaking storyline 'revealed' - but fans are fuming
Coronation Street Dee-Dee Bailey’s next storyline has been ‘rumbled’ - and there’s more heartbreak in store.
The character (Channique Sterling-Brown) made her debut back in 2022 - and has since become a firm favourite with viewers. However, Dee-Dee has had a dramatic few months recently.
She learned the truth about her fiancé Joel Deering (Calum Lill) and that he is responsible for grooming and abusing young girls over the years, including Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
Lauren went missing in February, after Joel attacked her and left her for dead. She made her return in July, pregnant with his child. Joel’s actions then took a turn for the worse when he attempted to kill Lauren and their unborn baby.

Fortunately, the baby survived but was born prematurely, with the tot still in hospital. Meanwhile, sicko solicitor Joel’s true colours have since come to light, leaving his fellow Weatherfield residents horrified, including fiancé Dee-Dee who has vowed to bring him down.
Last week, Joel was arrested - but released on bail. And spoilers for this week appear to hint at his downfall more. However, soap viewers are already predicting what’s next for Dee-Dee - and it’s not looking good for her.
Amid the drama that’s been happening, Lauren and Dee-Dee have stuck together, in a bid to try and put Joel behind bars. Last week, during a Social Services visit, Dee-Dee even offered to let Lauren and Frankie live with her, once they are discharged.
But now, viewers fear that Dee-Dee could be set for a heartbreaking mental health storyline, that could see her become “obsessed” with Lauren and Joel’s baby, Frankie.
Sharing their thoughts on a Corrie Facebook fan page, one person said: “I get the feeling that Dee-Dee is not dealing with her emotions with regards to Joel keeping busy trying to help people and get him locked up which is good… possibly a future storyline!!”
Someone else added: “I agree there is a future storyline with Dee Dee’s mental health but I hope not! She’s been through enough.” A third penned: “I think she's going to be obsessed with Frankie.” Another agreed and mused: “She'll probably fall apart when this is over. I hope there will be someone there to support her.”
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
