Coronation Street fans are more convinced than ever that Yasmeen Metcalfe will murder her abusive husband, Geoff.

Corrie fans have watched in horror as Yasmeen – who’s played by Shelley King in the ITV soap – has become more and more controlled by twisted Geoff (Ian Bartholomew.)

Geoff has already wrongly convinced Yasmeen she has an alcohol problem and even killed her pet chicken, Charlotte Bronte, and made her eat it.

He’s now planning to isolate his wife even further by suggesting they sell up and move abroad.

Meanwhile, Yasmeen’s granddaughter Alya Nazir, is becoming ever more suspicious about her gran’s twisted marriage.

She was left horrified last week when she discovered that Geoff had locked Yasmeen in a box while he went out to the pub, claiming it was an accident.

Now fans are sure that Yasmeen will finally snap and bump evil Geoff off.

And, probably not that surprisingly, they’re backing Yasmeen all the way!

One fan took to Twitter to show her support for the character, writing: “Kill him Yasmeen!”

The same fan added: “I hope yasmeen poisons Geoff the next time he comes home demanding dinner. To go out and kill her chicken and then make her eat it without telling her. Boiled my blood this evening. Evil evil excuse of a man. Yes I am getting this angry over a soap”

Another added: “Yasmeen will kill Geoff…fingers crossed.”

A third said: “When Yasmeen snaps and kills Geoff, Charlotte is gunna be waiting to kill him again in the afterlife”

And a fourth predicted: “Yasmeen kills Geoff walks because of coercive control. Probably six weeks remand.”

Viewers have been shocked by the coercive control storyline, but Corrie bosses recently confirmed that it will come to an end.

But will that end be Yasmeen doing a Charlotte Bronte on her husband? It looks like she’s got the public’s support if she does.

If Yas actually bumps Geoff off, the storyline will echo that of real life coercive control victim Sally Challen who killed her abusive husband after years of gaslighting, control and humiliation.
