Next week on Coronation Street: Has Johnny seen Aidan? Plus Ray gets revenge on Debbie (spoilers)
The future of No 8 is decided, while Debbie learns to her cost that revenge is a dish best served cold. Plus, has Johnny really seen his dead son Aidan?
It’s all you need to know about next week on Coronation Street, 8-12 February, 2021:
The fight for No 8
As hard as it is to believe, No 8 is now the focus of a furious bidding war. Let’s not forget that those who’ve lived there have experienced no end of horror over years, from Richard Hillman trying to gas Gail and her kids in the garage to drug dealer Callum Logan being killed and then buried on the premises.

Just imagine what a Homebuyer Report would throw up.
As for its future, we have Tracy in one corner trying to get her claws on the deeds, while Shona taps Audrey up for cash, so that she and David can buy the house back. But, in the end, it’s a mystery bidder who gazumps everyone else. Who can they possibly be?
Ray’s cold revenge on Debbie
A freezer was once the scene of a grisly Corrie death when Anne Malone perished inside one at Freshco supermarket back in 1998. And those with long memories will be left wondering whether the same fate will befall Debbie after cold-hearted Ray lashes out.

After Ray finds out that Debs is set to use his cash to fund Faye’s legal case, he confronts his one-time ally and forces her into a walk-in fridge at the Bistro.
Luckily, Kevin turns up at the last minute and whacks Ray over the head with a frying pan. Unluckily, Kev then ends up getting accidentally locked in the chiller with Debbie. But will confinement result in a thawing of tensions between the Webster siblings?
Johnny’s disturbing visions
Kudos on Corrie for attempting to do something original with a prison-based plotline. Usually, when a character gets incarcerated, they have to deal with a sadistic screw or endure a beating by the jail’s top dog.
But Johnny’s troubles are more mental than physical as he starts seeing visions of his dead son Aidan, as well as hallucinations of mice and cockroaches in his cell. When Carla visits, Johnny insists that she not breathe a word to Jenny.
But no sooner has Carla made her promise than she’s phoning the prison to voice her concerns. Expect Johnny to rail against his daughter when he’s referred to a psychiatrist.
Leanne struggles to stay positive
After trying to make an effort to stay positive for Simon’s sake, Leanne ends up feeling consumed by grief and admits to him that she’s struggling.
Masking his own anxiety, Simon assures her that they’ll be fine. But his concern will mount later in the week when Leanne shows Si a feather she’s found, convinced that it’s from Oliver and a sure sign that he’s now found peace.
A further reminder of just how vulnerable Leanne is comes when she’s seen tapping in her card details into her laptop and booking a consultation with a TV psychic by the name of Crystal Moon. Feeding into her delusion, Crystal assures Leanne that the feather is a sign of Oliver’s love for her.
Viewers, though, are sure to be left fretting that Leanne is set to be fleeced of the little money she still possesses.
