Coronation Street pre-Christmas week spoilers as David attacked, danger for Audrey and Lauren delivered news
It'll soon be the week before Christmas in Weatherfield, but it's clear the drama never stops in Coronation Street. Starting with Lauren Bolton and having been given the results of baby Frankie’s blood tests from the doctor, Lauren reveals to Max that it’s more sinister than they would have thought.
Meanwhile, Joel Deering's parents Gus and Anthea approach Max in the hospital car park, but what do they want? Speaking of the late solicitor, his ex-fiancee Dee-Dee Bailey confides in Sarah Platt that she has made a decision about her baby, what will she decide to do?
Later in the week, tensions are high as an argument breaks out between Dee-Dee and Anthea in the café. After finding out from Max that Lauren is struggling with her mental health, Dee-Dee visits Lauren and tells her that she’ll try and help her to find a donor for Frankie. Will Dee-Dee come clean to Lauren about her pregnancy?

At the end of the week, the actor confirms Frankie’s diagnosis and that they’ll start the process of looking for a donor. Will this make Dee-Dee’s choice even more difficult to make?
Elsewhere, as Daisy Midgeley overhears Debbie Webster confronting Matty Radcliffe, accusing him of stealing her car, she’s awash with guilt. Daisy lets slip to Shona Platt that she knows she was involved with a hit and run, making out Kit Green told her. Daisy urges Shona to get her injuries properly checked out, leaving Shona wondering why she’s so concerned. Is Shona on to Daisy?
Staying with the Platts, David and Audrey Roberts spot Shona and Adam Barlow deep in conversation. David casually quizzes Shona about her afternoon, but she fails to mention Adam and David is left suspicious. Also, Gail insists on taking Audrey’s temperature who secretly dunks the thermometer in David’s coffee. As Gail reads the result, she orders Audrey to see a doctor as soon as possible.
Later, Matty and Logan confront a shaken David over the stolen money. When Matty and Logan call at the salon and tell Audrey that they’re mates of David’s, how far will they go? Jesse asks David to pick up the wedding rings from the jewellers before he returns home with a black eye and a split lip. What has happened to David?
Gail tells Shona and Sarah that she’s arranged a pre-wedding pampering session at the salon for all of them and they’ll need to take the morning off. In the salon, Audrey serves up glasses of fizz whilst making scathing remarks about Gail’s choice of sixth husband. When Jesse reveals that he’s tracked down the original wedding rings to a shop, is the game up for David?
Also on the cobbles, as Carla Connor and Lisa Swain meet up at the Chariot Square Hotel for a spa afternoon, Debbie remarks it’s nice to see friends enjoying a spa day. When Carla doesn’t correct Debbie, how will Lisa react? Later, when Izzy Armstrong and Sarah reveal that Carla’s got a lunch appointment with a very handsome client, Lisa masks her discomfort. In the bistro, Lisa watches jealously as the client flirts with Carla.
Later, when Kirk Sutherland plugs in the Christmas lights and causes a power failure, Carla tells the factory workers to take the afternoon off. After being kicked out of the Rovers for bringing their own alcohol, Bobby Crawford invites Kirk and Fiz Dobbs back to the flat to carry on drinking, but Lisa emerges in her dressing gown. Is Carla and Lisa’s relationship finally revealed?
Meanwhile, Leanne Battersby and Toyah Habeeb tell Chesney Brown that Les’s employer has increased their offer to £60,000 but if they accept, they need to sign an NDA. When Gemma Winer-Brown returns from Portsmouth and is put out to realise Chesney kept quiet, she urges him to accept the compensation. What will Chesney do?
Later, Leanne tells Nick Tilsleyand Toyah how much Sam is looking forward to his holiday as Toyah puts on a brave face. Leanne sees Nick and Sam off on their holiday and once alone, opens her laptop and makes a payment of £789 from Toyah’s fake account. At the end of the week, a worried Toyah confides in Leanne and Amy Barlow that she’s hardly any money left in her account and she’s up to her limit on her credit card.
Leanne tells Toyah and Amy that it would appear the wine company has overcharged them and Amy agrees to check the accounts. In the bistro office, Leanne transfers £300 from the bistro account to Toyah’s fake account.
WIth Chesney, as he pulls up in his car, he clocks the man in the van across the street. As the van pulls away, Chesney follows on. In Freshco car park, Chesney slips behind the van and pulls out a bag of sugar. What is Chesney going to do?
