'Coronation Street' preview: Sally plays detective over secretive Tim
The latest visit to Coronation Street sees a suspicious Sally Metcalfe’s (Sally Dynevor) imagination go into overdrive as husband Tim (Joe Duttine) continues to hide a huge secret from her.
Viewers know that Tim is preparing to undergo a triple heart bypass. The soap's producer previously teased that the development would test the couple's strong marriage.
He has been told to avoid stress, but Tim’s attempts to protect his wife from the news have only made the situation worse. Due to his shifty behaviour, Sally is now convinced that he is having an affair.

On Monday, Abi Webster (Sally Carman) tried to persuade her pal she was being daft, but Sally took no notice. As she stewed over Tim’s deception, Sally hilariously took aim at the Rovers’ regulars while knocking back the wine.
Watch: Coming up on Coronation Street...
Ex-husband Kevin (Michael Le Vell) was first on the hit list as she recalled his cheating ways during their own marriage. Later, Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) wandered in for a pint, but soon turned around and left when Sally loudly discussed his betrayal of Fiz with “teeny Alina, Alina teeny weeny”.
She then returned home and put a tracker on Tim’s phone. Just your standard night out, then.

For those who like to read ahead, you can see what's coming up for Sally next week in our spoiler round-up. But for now, here's a taste of what to expect during Wednesday's double-bill.
Sally has been watching the app closely as she tries to pin down Tim’s whereabouts. When this leads her to a hotel, what will she find out?
Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) tells Tim that it’s about time he explained everything to Sally, but Tim just can’t bring himself to do it.
Things may be taken out of his hands when Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) unintentionally fuels the fire by commenting that she’s seen Tim and Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw) together lately. Little do they know that nurse Aggie has simply been supporting Tim during hospital appointments.
We can’t blame Sally for being unable to connect the dots. Given the lies she has been fed in her decades on the cobbles, it’s far more likely that she would suspect Tim is playing away than preparing for a life-threatening operation.
With events set to come to a head, will Tim come to regret the complex web he’s created for himself?
Tune in to see Sally doing her best impression of Miss Marple.
Coronation Street continues on Wednesday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm
