Yahoo News Coronation Street reveals new love interest for Kevin
Coronation Street has revealed a new love interest for Kevin Webster as he grows closer to Abi Franklin next week.
Kevin (Michael Le Vell) will start to see Abi in a new light, when she begins working back at the garage after getting sacked from her new job.
The week actually gets off to a bad start for Kevin, who is struggling with Paula Martin's presence at his house.
Still refusing to forgive Paula for putting his family in danger, Kevin makes it clear that she isn't welcome at No. 13 and implores her to leave.
However, after some wise words from a more understanding Tim, Kevin has a change of heart about Paula – acknowledging how happy she makes Sophie.
Having given his daughter's romance the go-ahead, Kevin's own love life is about to take a turn when Abi comes to him and asks for her job back.
As it happens, Abi's week isn't going all that well either as she makes a huge blunder on her first day at a rival garage
After dropping a car bonnet on the boss' hand, Abi is fired from her new job and heads back to Kevin's workplace to try her luck there.
Aware Abi has been fired from her new job, Kevin can't help but wind her up, but tells her later on that she can come back – jokingly insisting that it's only on the condition she keeps her fists under control.
Thrilled, Abi soon starts back at the garage with an equally-pleased Kevin – who suggests they celebrate with dinner at the bistro.
As the pair enjoy each other's company later on, Sally is quick to spot how amusing Abi finds Kevin and starts to wonder if she could be the one for him. Is Sally on to something here?
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
