Coronation Street Sarah Platt's new cobbles boyfriend 'revealed' - but fans predict 'uproar'
Coronation Street’s Sarah Platt could be set for a shock new cobbles romance, according to fans.
Sarah (Tina O'Brien) has been a firm favourite on the cobbles for years. Making her debut in 1999, she has gone on to become one of the soap’s most iconic and beloved characters.
She has also played a big part in several dramatic storylines over the years. From her dramatic teenage pregnancy to feuds on the cobbles - her time in Weatherfield has not been short of drama.
It’s also fair to say Sarah’s had her share of failed relationships too - including plenty of scandalous affairs and romances with bad boys.

And over on the soap, things took a deadly turn this week when the residents watched in horror as the Platt family home was set ablaze in dramatic scenes. The house fire came after Sarah’s brother David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) stole money from the notorious gangster Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor).
However, it’s been hinted that the fire might not have been caused by Harvey or his thugs, as a range of Weatherfield residents have now become suspects, including David.
Sarah meanwhile has been left concerned amid the latest Platt family drama. However, in recent episodes, fans have noticed that she has grown close with Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce).
Sarah and Todd have plenty of history as before he came out as gay, in the 2000s, the pair dated. Sarah also fell pregnant with Todd’s baby, Billy, but sadly he died after Sarah went into premature labour in 2004.
Now, fans reckon it’s only a matter of time before the pair rekindle things. Writing on a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person penned: “Anyone else think that Todd & Sarah might get together?”
In the comments section, someone else replied: “Yeah ..... I mean he's gay but why not .“ A third chimed in: “Yes, he could be bisexual. Meanwhile, another viewer also shared: “I think they’re just really close friends, but you never know. If they U-turned Todd’s sexuality - there will be uproar.”
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
