Next week on 'Coronation Street': a shock death is revealed, plus Sharon and Leanne testify in court (spoilers)
Sharon is back – with threats and violence following in her wake. Plus Leanne takes the stand at Harvey’s trial, and Tyrone learns of a shock death…
It’s all you need to know about the week ahead on Coronation Street for 20-25 June, 2021.
Sharon’s last stand?
I don’t think anyone really thought we’d seen the last of Sharon. But while her reappearance isn’t exactly surprising, the fact that she’s now wanting to warn Leanne about Harvey’s scare tactics is a turn up for the books.
The trouble is, Sharon may be too late, as a Father’s Day reunion between Sam and Nick looks set to be ruined by the sound of gunshots. Has one of Harvey’s heavies taken a life?
Leanne heads to court
In the aftermath of the Street once again being turned into a Quentin Tarantino movie, Leanne decides that her only option is to stand up in court and tell the truth. But as she enters the witness box, will she be able to look horrendous Harvey in the eye and give her evidence?

Sharon, meanwhile, also has her say and gives a damning report on Harvey’s intimidatory ways and how he exploits vulnerable children for his own gain. But Sharon’s words leave her fearing for her own life – hence some bags being hastily packed in Friday’s episode.
A generous Rita, who realises that her foster daughter needs to start afresh, offers her £10,000. Much more than she deserves, in my humble opinion…
Summer is diagnosed with diabetes
Fainting spells and constant trips to the toilet result in Summer seeking a diagnosis at the hospital, where it’s revealed that she has type one diabetes.
As Summer adjusts to a new regime of insulin injections and tests to monitor her blood-sugar, Billy tells Todd that he reckons he should move in so that their family unit can be re-established.
Death shock for Tyrone
Tyrone’s mid-life crisis is intensifying by the week, with his latest move being to get a “T&A” tattoo and take a test to ride a motorbike.
But such adventures look set to come to a screeching halt when a police officer turns up at the door and reveals that his abusive former partner Kirsty is dead. In a state of shock, Ty will then be seen turning to Fiz as they work out how to break the news to young Ruby.
Emma – unlucky in love again?
Tracy advises Emma to play hard to get where Curtis is concerned, as she’s currently appearing too eager.
Curtis, though, merely ends up feeling confused by Emma’s suddenly cool attitude. When Steve then advises his daughter to ignore Tracy’s supposed words of wisdom, Emma heads out with a dressed-to-kill attitude – only to find Curtis approaching a glamorous woman. Has Emma missed her chance?
Double Glammy nightmare
Sean gets distracted while hosting a Double Glammy seminar when a stressed-out Carol turns up, having not been able to sell any of her products.
He bungs her £50 to help with her rent and then suggests to Daisy that they tear up Carol’s contract. Daisy, though, isn’t having any of it and orders Carol to get out there and sell.
Later on, though, a horrified Sean finds Carol unconscious on a bench and calls for a doctor before admitting to Eileen that she was right about Double Glammy – it’s destroyed Carol’s life and he wants to make amends.
