'Coronation Street' spoilers 23-27 March: David gets some shocking news
Poor Gemma reaches breaking point, while David gets a horrible surprise.
Here’s what else to expect on the cobbles from Monday 23 March.
Gemma’s at the end of her rope
Corrie fans have watched as Gemma Winter has struggled under the pressure of raising four babies. Next week the young mum is set to reach breaking point, but will she finally admit she needs help? After having a horrible dream that she hurt Aled, Gemma is unnerved to think she could harm one of the babies. Later, the health visitor queries Gemma’s state-of-mind, but she insists that she’s fine. But when the health visitor leaves, Gemma heads into the garden, fighting back the tears. She’s horrified when she hears the babies crying and realises she’s locked herself out.
Bernie puts her foot down with Gemma
Locked out, Gemma tries to bash the door down while the babies continue to cry just as mum Bernie arrives with a bunch of Mothers’ Day balloons. She’s horrified to find Gemma in such a distressed state. After forcing the door Bernie assures Gemma that the babies are all fine but she just bursts into tears and calls herself an unfit mother. She then admits that she’s exhausted, but it too scared to sleep. Bernie tells Gemma she’ll stay and help her on the condition Gemma makes an appointment to see Dr. Gaddas. Gemma makes Bernie promise she won’t tell Chesney.
David pays Clayton a visit
Wanting to fight for his marriage, David pays Clayton a visit in prison and pleads with him to leave Shona alone. But Clayton enjoys seeing David’s misery and tells him that it’s not going to happen. Later, David reveals to Nick and Gail how Clayton has been dripping poison into Shona’s ear. Nick decides to take matters into his own hands and visits Shona, but she refuses to see him. She does have a message for David though which is passed on through her key worker. Is this it for David and Shona?
David cheats on Shona?
David is devastated by Shona’s message, but masking his upset, he tells Maria that she’s done him a favour by asking for a divorce because now he’s free to move on. Later, he finds a dejected Alina in Victoria Gardens, and he sits down and offers her a beer. There’s clearly a spark between them and soon David is texting Nick, telling him that Alina is ill and needs the rest of the day off.
Alya tries to get through to Yasmeen
Ryan pretends that something awful has happened and drags Yasmeen over to the flat. She’s relieved to see Alya is okay, but is stunned when Alya introduces her to a policewoman who has information about Geoff. Yasmeen refuses and storms out but later Alya finds her and hands her the policewoman’s card, imploring her to give her a call. Will she listen?
Tyrone gives Arthur a piece of his mind
Seeing how disappointed Evelyn is about being stood up, Tyrone makes sure that Arthur gets a piece of his mind. He tells Arthur to keep away from Evelyn as she’s not interested and Arthur s left crushed.
Alya plots to get Yasmeen away from Geoff
After hearing that Zeedan is getting married, Alya is shocked to learn that her brother hasn’t invited her or Yasmeen to the wedding. But Ryan convinces her that this could be the ideal chance to get Yasmeen away from her abusive husband. When they talk to Yasmeen and Geoff, Geoff enjoys telling them that they can’t close the restaurant for that long. But not as much as Alya revels in telling him that he’s not on the guest list. But she’s horrified later when Geoff tells her that he will be attending the wedding and has already booked a hotel. What will Alya’s next move be?
