Coronation Street spoilers: Lydia confesses to affair with Adam, plus Joseph announces exit

On Coronation Street next week Sarah finds herself taken in by Lydia’s lies – but will this scheming wreck her relationship with Adam? Plus Joseph wants to live in Portugal with his gran, and Kevin discovers that Abi has cheated on him.

Lydia lies as she confesses to an affair with Adam

Sarah’s suspicions mount over the “married man” who Lydia is supposedly seeing. And when the trail appears to lead to Adam, we’ll see Lydia feigning tears and making out that the two of them have been having an affair.

When Adam arrives home, he tries to assure Sarah that Lydia is lying through her teeth.

But it’s going to be hard for him to explain receipts that show he’s purchased items from an expensive lingerie shop in London and ordered champagne and oysters from a hotel.

Linda wants to take Joseph away

Granny Linda is splashing the cash as she pays for Joseph to attend the local activity club before offering him a night staying with her at her swanky hotel. And then comes her boldest offer of all: would he like to come and live with her in Portugal?

Chesney is angered by the suggestion but will be seen later discussing with Gemma how they can best ensure Joseph’s happiness.

The problem is that the youngster gets the erroneous idea into his head that he’s no longer wanted in Weatherfield and ends up announcing that, yes, he would like to live overseas with his gran.

Abi’s cheating secret is revealed

Kevin and Jack tell Abi that they’ve booked a break in Bridlington for after the adoption hearing – and that a camper van has been rented for transportation.

But those plans are to fall apart dramatically when — after witnessing Imran and Toyah celebrating their engagement — Abi breaks down and admits to Sally that she cheated on Kevin.

Sally refuses to make any promises after Abi begs her not to tell Kev. But it seems he’s destined to find out anyway when Sally later makes a call to Abi, who’s unaware that her phone is connected to the Bluetooth speaker in the camper van. And as Kevin listens in, he’s soon left reeling in shock from what he’s heard and ends up roaring off down the street…

Stu pranks Tracy

After hearing Tracy getting above her station, Stu decides to take her down a peg or two. So, on Wednesday, after Dev is mistakenly supplied with some cheap and nasty wine, Stu offers to buy the stock off him. His plan? To steam the labels off the cut-price plonk and replace them with ones from expensive wine that Tracy had ordered.

Stu then drops the inferior booze round at No 1 – thus setting Tracy up for embarrassment when she organises a tasting session. Stu, meanwhile, is sharing the superior stuff with Yasmeen.

Friday’s double bill, though, will see Stu confess all to Steve about his duplicity. But how will Steve react to this spot of subterfuge?
