Coronation Street star Georgia Taylor has revealed that tensions will run high at Kelly Neelan's sentencing hearing next week.

Kelly was recently found guilty as she stood trial for Seb Franklin's murder, while Corey Brent – the real culprit – walked free without punishment.

In next Wednesday's double bill (September 29), Kelly returns to court to hear what her sentence will be.

This proves to be another challenging moment for Imran Habeeb as he delivers an impassioned speech, begging the judge to consider Kelly's troubled upbringing and her fragile mental health.

The judge's ultimate decision is currently being kept under wraps.

Later on, Kevin Webster sees Corey's lawyer Sabeen in the court lobby.

Still fiercely protective over Seb's grieving mum Abi, Kevin angrily confronts Sabeen for helping to get Corey off scot-free.

Georgia, who plays Kelly's foster parent Toyah Battersby, explained: "Toyah is really worried about the sentencing.

"Kelly attempted suicide after the verdict so she's clearly hugely vulnerable and fragile. There's a real worry that the sentencing could tip her over the edge."

On Kevin's clash with Sabeen, Georgia added: "Imran inadvertently gets caught up in this and ends up with an elbow in the face.

"Sabeen jumps up straight away and says she'll take him to hospital, which annoys Toyah because she just doesn't want this woman around. It seems like she's popping up more and more.

"Then when Toyah gets to the hospital and sees them together, there seems to be something they're whispering about, which the viewers will know is the blackmail over Harvey's case, but for Toyah it's just suspicious.

"She's trusting her instincts and her gut is telling her that something isn't legit."
