I'm a Celebrity's Alan Halsall has been sent a message of support by Coronation Street co-star Tony Maudsley ahead of the first elimination tonight. The Tyrone Dobbs actor is one of 12 contestants fighting to keep their place on the challenging ITV show.

Corrie's George Shuttleworth star, Tony Maudsley took to social media urging fans to vote for Alan. He shared an image of Alan covered in all kinds of substances following his trial yesterday and said: "Vote for our @coronationstreet buddy & all round good egg & gentleman @alanhalsall to stay in the jungle!

"How many other lifetime vegetarians do you know who'd take mouthfuls of meaty testicle to win points for their team? What a trooper! (and before you start I'm NOT a vegetarian) #ImACeleb"

Dean, Alan and Danny went head to head in ‘The Rank Bank’ Bushtucker trial last night. Ant and Dec explained they would be competing in four races to win cash for their team’s bank accounts. For first place, they’d be awarded £300, for second place £200 and third place £100, with each race having a 3 minute time limit, meaning if they failed to complete the race within the time, they would win nothing for their account.

During the challenge, the campmates learned they would have to empty their deposit box filled with raw pig testacles within the time limit using only their mouths. Danny and Alan were neck and neck, with Danny just piping Alan to the post. At the end of ‘The Rank Bank’ challenge completed, team blue, which is Alan's team reigned victorious with £1100, with both the pink, Dean's team and orange team, Danny tied with £500 each.

Alan's Coronation Street colleague wasn't the only who shocked to see the vegetarian with meat in his mouth. One comment on X, formerly known as Twitter said: "Did I mishear Alan say he was veggie at the start?? #ImACeleb." Another added "I love how we saw more of Alan tonight. (About time!) Winning the trial, giving his stars away to the others and not moaning at meat when he’s veggie."
