Coronation Street star left jaw-dropping amount in will by fan reveals how he's spent it
Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has revealed how he spent the thousands of pounds left to him in a strangers will.
Previously sharing the bizarre news that he was written into a fan's last will and testament, the actor let slip how he spent the unexpected gift.
Chatting to his Corrie co-star Ben Price and departing Cobbles star Colson Smith, it was revealed that he spent the surprise cash on an impromptu trip abroad with his family to Florida, US.
Presumably jealous of the bizarre cash gift his co-star had just received, Jack's on-screen brother Ben, shared how he reacted to the news at the time: "I was convinced that it was a scam and I said 'that's a scam, you're getting f*****g scammed, I hope you're getting scammed because I'll be so f****d off if you're not' ".

Meanwhile, it was back in 2018, during an Instagram Q&A with Julia Goulding, who plays David's wife Shona on Corrie, that Jack first shared the news with fans that he had been left a whopping £5,000 in the will of an unnamed super fan postman in New Zealand.
At the time, he said: "(He) gave me five grand in their will. From New Zealand, a fan. Died, and gave me 10 per cent of his estate, which was five grand. So cheers."
Earlier in the show, the three actors had shared some of the other fan mail that they have received down the years, and while much of what they had been sent was nothing out of the ordinary, the soap stars revealed that they are not unused to some rather explicit mail from fans.
Having first appeared on the cobbles at the age of just 12, playing the role of David Platt, Jack, who is the second eldest son of the recently departed Gail Platt, has established himself as a mainstay on the show down the decades after being a part of some of the soaps biggest storylines to date.
Born in Pudsey, West Yorkshire, the 37-year-old has also forged out a career for himself in the world of theatre having appeared in a slew of on-stage performances, including adaptations of West Side Story and Oliver!, which was based on Charles Dickens' 1838 novel, Oliver Twist.
