Coronation Street star reflects on time on soap after character exit

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street star Harry Visinoni has recalled his favourite moments on the cobbles following his shock exit from the ITV soap.

Earlier this week, his character Seb Franklin and Seb's new girlfriend Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) saw their romantic stroll take a violent turn when they came across a drunk Corey Brent (Maximus Evans), Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) and several of their friends.

Before losing consciousness, Seb managed to ring the emergency services and the young couple were rushed to hospital, with Nina being whisked into surgery due to a bleed on the brain. So viewers were left shocked when Seb, who'd seemed the more stable of the two initially, passed away from his injuries in tonight's instalment (May 7).

After the episode aired, Corrie took to Twitter to share a video message from Visinoni, 21, in which he said: "Just want to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for all the support over the years.

"It's been a pretty rough ride for Seb but I'm very happy that he's been allowed to touch on some very important issues from HIV to human trafficking, now to this. It's been a honour, a privilege and a pleasure."

"Unfortunately, Weatherfield is down a man bun but hopefully they'll survive," he continued. "Yeah, just, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Hope you've enjoyed the journey, because I definitely have."

Shortly after, Visinoni took to his own page to tweet a statement that echoed similar sentiments. It read: "It's been a wild five years on the cobbles, and I've loved every second. I've made memories that I will cherish forever and have worked with the most amazing people.

"I couldn't have dreamt of a better way to spend these years of my life. Thank you so much for all the support Seb has received throughout his turbulent time on the street, and thank you so much for the amazing response to this immensely important and relevant storyline.

"There couldn't have been a more worthy end for Seb. It was an honour to be trusted to tell this harrowing story and I hope that we have been able to make a difference and raise awareness. It's been an honour and a privilege. Lots of love, Harry."

Coronation Street continues on Monday, May 10 at 7:30pm on ITV.
