Coronation Street Tracy's shock new romance 'revealed' - and it's not who fans would expect
Coronation Street’s Tracy Barlow could be set for an unexpected new romance on the cobbles - and it’s not her ex Steve McDonald.
Soap legend Tracy (Kate Ford) has been a staple on the soap for decades. As the loud-mouthed man-eater, Tracy has played a part in several big storylines over the years. From shock affairs to even murder, her time in Weatherfield has not been short of drama.
Tracy’s also had her fair share of failed relationships too - including a shock romance with Roy Cropper (David Neilson). Last year though, she left the famous Street to start a new life in Spain with footballer beau Tommy Orpington (Matt Milbur).
Fans will recall how Tracy had an affair with Tommy behind husband Steve McDonald’s (Simon Gregson) back. At the time Tommy was decorating their home. Eventually the truth came out, causing Tracy to leave Weatherfield with Tommy to move abroad to Spain.

However, over in the soap recently, Tracy has made several appearances, appearing to tease that things with Tommy were on the rocks. And this week, Tracy revealed she was back in Weatherfield for the foreseeable future.
Now, fans are convinced they know who Tracy’s next romance will be with next on the famous- and it’s a familiar to fans. Recently, Tracy has struck up a friendship with former frenemy Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson). During Monday’s episode (January 20), the pair conjured up a plan to get revenge on Leanne’s cheating ex Nick (Ben Price) and sister Toyah (Georgia Taylor).
And fans now reckon it’s only a matter of time before their friendship leads to something more. Predicting a Tracy and Leanne romance, one person said on a Coronation Street Facebook fan page: “Tracy and Leanne could get together and Tracy has already been with a woman before.”
Other fans agreed, with a second person writing: “I’ve been thinking the same.” A third person chimed in and penned: “The Tracy and Leanne slow burn starts from today, I’m calling it they are 100% going to have a night at the CSH.” Another said: “I’d love for this to happen!”
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
