Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Abi Franklin has threatened Imran Habeeb over the paternity suit in Coronation Street.

Imran has showed his true colours in trying to win custody of baby Alfie even though he insisted he would fight fair. Imran has had Abi followed and tried to pin drugs claims on her when he didn't necessarily believe they were true.

Abi was so desperate that she considered doing a runner with baby Alfie in Friday's (May 6) episode, though she didn't get out of the hospital ward.

Toyah was stood blocking her way, with Imran warning that he'd call police on Abi unless she returned the child. Their argument, which brought up the drugs issue again, planted a seed of doubt in Toyah's mind.

Later, she quizzed Imran on his version of events, as the lawyer swore Ben had actually seen Abi buying drugs. Utterly defeated, Abi was left to somberly attend the vigil for her son Seb a year after his murder.

As she tried to grieve, Abi found more strength as she confronted Imran once again — she was well aware he'd paid Ben to lie about her buying the drugs.

"You actually believe you're a good role model, don't you?" Abi questioned him. "You perjured yourself in court. You lied to the judge and social services, and even now when we're on our own, you're still lying."

Abi admitted she'd back off "for the moment", but someday, she'd prove "what a liar" Imran is, vowing: "You're gonna lose everything and I'm going to be here to see it."

Imran was chilled by the threat as Friday's episode came to a close…

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
