Coronation Street's Adam Barlow tries to keep Faye Windass out of trouble next week after finally hearing the truth about his attack.
In next week's episodes, Faye (Ellie Leach) decides to tell her ex-boyfriend Craig Tinker the truth about her recent ordeal.
Craig (Colson Smith) hears that Ray Crosby tried to rape Faye and that she later lashed out at Adam in a case of mistaken identity.
With support from Craig, an emotional Faye later heads to the police station and tells them everything – hoping to see Ray punished and also clear Gary's name over Adam's attack.
Later in the week, DS Willets comes to see Adam and asks more questions about the night of the attack. He also reveals that new information has come to light.
All becomes clear for Adam when Faye arrives, telling the full story and explaining how Gary was only trying to protect her when he took the blame.
Faye's father Tim (Joe Duttine) later pays his own visit to Adam and is immediately given hope that his daughter could avoid a prison sentence.
Adam kindly tells Tim that he has no desire to see Faye punished and has already made this clear to the police. But will Adam's thoughts be taken into account by the authorities?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, January 18 and Wednesday, January 20 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
