Coronation Street's Carla Connor is set to declare her love for girlfriend DS Lisa Swain in New Year scenes.
Fans of the soap will know that the couple's new relationship is set to take centre stage over the festive period and that the two characters are in the early stages of their romance.
The pair slept together for the first time back in November and Lisa told Carla that she wasn't ready to pursue the relationship, but it looks like things are set to get serious between the two on New Year's Day.

In scenes which will air on Tuesday, December 31 Lisa surprises Carla with a romantic lunch in the café, but the mood is broken when she receives an urgent call to an incident.
As Carla tells Kit that Lisa has been called away, he receives an urgent request for back up at the same address.
Later, Lisa returns sporting a bruised face and split lip, assuring Carla that she's fine and ready for a drink.
In The Rovers, Jenny rings the bell and everyone joins in on the countdown to midnight. When Carla lets slip to Lisa that she loves her, does Lisa feel the same?

Speaking recently to Digital Spy and other media, Corrie's new producer Kate Brooks said of Carla and Lisa's budding relationship: "For Carla, this is quite huge. She's had a lot of history with men, a lot of failed relationships, a very colourful past and then she's found herself falling in love with a woman and it completely blows her mind."

Meanwhile, Carla is set to face a worrying health scare in the New Year after being rushed to the hospital when Roy Cropper finds her barely conscious at home.
After being diagnosed with sepsis that has damaged her kidney, Carla is told she may need another kidney transplant.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
