Coronation Street's Daisy Midgeley realises she has a stalker

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street's Daisy Midgeley is to face an unknown menace in a stalking storyline.

Daisy will realise she has a stalker in upcoming scenes, and will initially target the wrong person.

As her online following grows, Daisy starts receiving bunches of flowers, much to her fiancé Daniel Osbourne's (Rob Mallard) bemusement.

Daisy brushes the gifts off, thinking the sought-after DJ she convinced to play at the couple's wedding may be responsible for sending them – he previously sent her a bunch of flowers, which Daisy claimed she had bought for Daniel.

Daniel demands to know who 'Justin' is, after another flower delivery arrives. Daisy, still assuming that their wedding DJ is responsible, messages and asks him to leave her alone.

Later on, when Daisy gets yet another bouquet from 'Justin', she decides to share a message with her social media followers. She posts about the DJ, warning other women that he may be dangerous.

However, it seems that the popular DJ Teativo isn't the one who sent her flowers.

When he shows up at the Rovers, asking Daisy to take down the disparaging post about him and swearing he has nothing to do with the gifts, Daisy is at a loss: she has no idea who is targeting her.

Last year, Coronation Street producer Iain MacLeod teased a dark twist for Daisy as she discovers the "dangers" of online exposure.

"Their next story is about a young woman on the internet and dangers that face influencers who have a high profile," MacLeod explained. "In Daisy's case, she has quite a small fry online following, but that brings her into a certain degree of danger as the wedding approaches."

Meanwhile, Daisy and Daniel are planning their wedding and McLeod previously hinted that they will have a bit of a culture clash about their expectations for the big day. While Daniel would like a Dickensian-themed day and a "serious and cultured wedding", Daisy is more in favour of something "a bit extra".

Will they find some common ground? And is Daisy safe with 'Justin' out there?
