Bernie Winter actress Jane Hazlegrove said: "Excellent work Mr B…" while former on-screen husband Peter Ash shared: "Amazing!!" Corrie itself also added: "We know you’ll smash it."
Daniel also took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share the news and said: "I’m hugely excited to announce that I’ll be stepping away from the cobbles of @itvcorrie (only for a few days) to debut the Role of Antonio in @figaromusical, a brand new musical at the iconic venue the @LondonPalladium on the 3rd & 4th of Feb 2025. But not all the comments were positive as one caught Daniel's eye, which read: "I have read on social media that Daniel Brocklebank is leaving Coronation Street for a role in London's West End. I wish him success and a long stay in London, maybe ten or twenty years. He won’t be missed." Hitting back, Daniel said: "Great to have your support Henry. You charming flirt you. You’ll be pleased to know I’m not disappearing from the cobbles any time soon and if you can’t get enough of me please feel free to buy tickets for the show."
He's also since returned to social media to mark a major milestone. Daniel shared: "Today marks 10 years since I first appeared on screen on @itvcorrie. I have loved every moment of my time there. It’s a truly wonderful place to work and a beautiful family to be part of. I adore it.
