Coronation Street's Hope Dobbs set for controversial storyline - and she's not pregnant
Coronation Street seems to be hinting at a contentious new plot for Hope Dobbs. The character, played by Isabella Flanagan, first graced the soap in 2010 as a premature baby, born three months early after her mother Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) was caught up in a terrifying tram crash. Thankfully, both Fiz and Hope survived.
Her initial year was marred by sorrow when her biological father John Stape (Graeme Hawley) died before she reached her first birthday. Since then, she has been raised by her mother and stepfather Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall).
Over time, Hope has been involved in several major storylines on the cobbles - from cancer to arson. However, it appears that Hope's life is about to take another dramatic turn in the soap.
Last month, she dropped a significant revelation on her parents. Hope visited Dr Gadass with the intention of going on the pill, who gave her condoms and encouraged Hope to discuss it with her family - which she did, much to their surprise, reports the Liverpool Echo. And this week, Hope is discovered vaping at school by her friends.

Moreover, spoilers for the upcoming week suggest that Hope finds herself in even more hot water, as her secret vaping habit comes to light. After Cassie (Claire Sweeney) discovers a vape in Hope's school bag, she confronts her granddaughter and Hope pleads with her to keep it a secret.
In a bid for trust, Cassie informs Tyrone and Fiz about the vaping issue. They confront Hope, insisting she stop immediately. Although agreeing to quit, Hope pilfers more vapes from Dev's shop, with Aadi unaware of her actions.
Speculations are now rife among Corrie fans that a dramatic health scare could be on the cards for Hope, following her continued use of vapes. Fans shared their thoughts on a Corrie Facebook fan page, with one commenting: "They might do a storyline of her ending up in the hospital like some kids in real life do showing the dangers."
Another voiced agreement: "I can see this happening." Echoing the sentiment, a third added: "That's a good idea, it would definitely be current."
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
