Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd told 'please tell the writers' after update with co-star

Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd quickly caught the attention of his fans and followers as he shared a fresh update on life with one of his co-stars.

The actor, who is famed for playing David Platt in the ITV soap, has recently been sharing a few behind-the-scenes clips from the Trafford-based set, including showing that David's grandmother Audrey's Salon on the street isn't actually where they film the indoor scenes.

But his latest update really got his fans commenting as he shared an adorable video of Dave, the Yorkshire terrier who is David's dog in the long-running soap.

It was back in November 2022 that Jack introduced the new member of the Platt family to fans. He took to Instagram to share a video of himself at his character's family home on the famous cobbles and could be seen holding a gorgeous terrier pup who appears to be the new 'David the Dog' on the street.

Corrie fans will remember that the dog was formerly the pet of Mrs Moss, an old lady who was a regular at David's grandmother, Audrey's, hair salon and the dog was left to David following Mrs Moss' death.

In his latest update on David the dog, the four-legged cast member was seen on his lead on the famous cobbles as Jack shouted his name and got down to his level to give him a fuss. Jack laughed at he seemingly enjoyed the attention while Jack told him he was a 'good boy'.

Captioning the post, the soap star wrote: "Double D," and it didn't take his fans and followers long to respond as they were quick to believe David was smiling in the clip.
