Kym Marsh has taken to Instagram to share a heartfelt snap with her fellow cast member, gushing over having met the "most amazing man ever".

The ex-Coronation Street star, aged 48, uploaded an affectionate photo where she's seen locking lips with Samuel Thomas, her co-star in 101 Dalmatians - The Musical, and hailed him as the "most amazing man".

Alongside the image, Kym wrote: "Met the most amazing man ever! Sometimes the most unexpected things happen at the most unexpected times. @samuelthomasuk I love you #beautiful #soulmate #loveyou".

Kym and Samuel, 29, are currently touring the UK and Ireland in the musical adaptation of 101 Dalmatians. Kym is playing the iconic villainess Cruella de Vil, while Samuel portrays Tom Dearly.

Samuel boasts an impressive theatrical CV, including a stint in The Normal Heart at The National Theatre. His portrayal in Allegro at Southwark Playhouse earned him the Best Actor in a Musical accolade at The Stage Debut Awards back in 2017, reports the Mirror.

On his own Instagram, Samuel shared a picture of the couple, captioning it with a declaration of love: "I didn't expect you, but here you are. I love you," accompanied by a red heart emoji. Kym reciprocated the warm feelings, commenting: "Ditto. The best things happen unexpectedly. Love you too."

The unexpected romance comes just one year after Kym famously split from her husband Scott Ratcliffe, following a whirlwind two-year marriage. The couple originally tied the knot in October 2021 as part of a romantic ceremony involving 150 guests.

They separated in May 2023, just 19 months after getting married.

Reflecting on her failed marriage in an interview with The Guardian, the soap star said: "It's just experience."

She added: "I think I am a risk-taker because 'What if? ' is always worse."

She continued: "Comfortable is not good. I always want to be that person who has a go, because I wouldn't want to sit there years down the line and say: 'I wonder what would have happened if ...? '".

Prior to marrying Scott, Kym had also enjoyed a string of high-profile romances with celebrities, including former EastEnders star Jack Ryder, who she fell for after meeting in a BBC canteen.

The singer reportedly fell for the Jamie Mitchell actor back in 2001, when she bumped into him in the staff canteen following a Top of the Pops performance. They began to date, before later going on to tie the knot at St. Albans parish church, Hertford, in August 2002.

The couple enjoyed six years together before deciding to bring their relationship to an end in 2008. Their divorce was finalised in 2009.

In addition to her dalliance with Jack, Kym also harboured strong feelings for another star from Hollyoaks. After parting ways with her husband in 2009, Kym started dating Jamie Lomas and fell pregnant within a year.

However, in a tragic turn of events, only at 21 weeks pregnant, Kym went into labour due to a medical condition that caused her body to reject the pregnancy. This precipitated the heartbreaking passing of her newborn son Archie just minutes after birth.

They welcomed their daughter, Polly, in March 2011. Following Polly's healthy arrival, they decided to tie the knot in September 2012, but by 2014, their marriage had ended in divorce.

Adding a further soapy twist to Kym's romantic narrative, she briefly romanced her Coronation Street colleague, Oliver Mellor, in 2013 but unfortunately, it didn't last. Upon their separation, Oliver confessed to the Mirror: "We planned a future together. We loved each other and we weren't afraid to say it."

"It wasn't something we intended to happen, but we couldn't stop our feelings."

Subsequently, Oliver married lingerie model Rhian Sugden with whom he remains incandescently happy.

Aside from the high-profile relationships, Kym indulged in a sweetheart romance with Dave Cunliffe, her first love and the father of her children David and Emily, after crossing paths with him in a karaoke pub in her local area back in 1994.

The couple had originally planned to tie the knot, but despite being engaged, they decided to call it quits in 1999, a year after their daughter Emily was born.
