Coronation Street's Lauren and Dee-Dee blindsided as Joel's next 'dodgy' move revealed
Coronation Street is set to deliver another twist as Joel Deering unveils a new "dodgy" scheme, leaving Lauren Bolton and Dee-Dee Bailey baffled by his antics. In an upcoming episode, viewers will see Dee-Dee visiting Lauren in the hospital where her son Frankie is recovering from a seizure.
During the visit, Lauren shares her suspicions about Joel's peculiar behaviour after monitoring him via a phone tracker. Lauren confides in Dee-Dee: "I can't stop looking at that tracker. Joel's movements are dead dodgy."
When questioned by her friend on what she means by "What do you mean dodgy? " Lauren elaborates: "He spent ages the other day in some field. I looked it up online but it was just some woodland but then he went into his industrial park for an hour. I can't have no idea what he's playing at."

Dee-Dee attempts to reassure her: "Look you don't need to. It's not your problem to solve, Lauren. You just need to rest and get your strength up. He can't hurt you anymore.", reports the Liverpool Echo.
However, Lauren insists: "Whatever he's doing is involving me." She then shows Dee-Dee her phone, which displays a mysterious £5,000 deposit from Joel.
Lauren is perplexed: "There's been no explanations, no demands, no nothing. He's walking around Manchester randomly and sending me cash. I mean, what's that about?".
Dee-Dee, having ended things with Joel upon discovering that he impregnated Lauren and mistreated her, remarked, "It could be our wedding rings. He said he was going to pawn them but maybe instead of giving them to a women's charity he decided to give them to you but they weren't worth that much."
Lauren offered her apologies to Dee-Dee but reassured her, stating it would have been the "biggest mistake" she could have made. The young lady inquired, "That money won't get me into any trouble will it?" to which lawyer Dee-Dee replied: "You're a witness in this trial. A cash transaction like that does not look good for Joel, especially with his pre-hearing this week."
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
