Coronation Street's DS Lisa Swain has made an emotional promise to her girlfriend Carla Connor.
Fans of the soap will know that Carla was recently rushed to hospital after Roy Cropper found her barely conscious at home.
Spending her birthday in the hospital, Carla received a visit from Roy, who brought her a cake and a card. Carla asked Roy to fetch her some things from the flat, making sure that Lisa wasn't there when he did.

However, at the flat, Roy bumped into Lisa and Ryan, who asked him where Carla was. Uncomfortable with the questioning, Roy eventually told them the truth – that Carla was in the hospital.
Lisa went to visit Carla and told her she didn't like being lied to. Carla told Lisa she didn’t want any fuss and she’s on the mend. Clearly hurt, Lisa left her to it.
With Ryan and Roy by her bedside, the doctor broke the news to Carla that the sepsis has damaged her kidney and she may need another transplant.
Having been summoned by Ryan, Lisa called back at the hospital where Carla shared the awful news, telling her it’s best if they call it a day, prompting Lisa to declare her love for Carla.
"I love you Carla," Lisa said. "In it right up to my neck. I'm gonna be with you every single step of the way. I'm going nowhere."

Elsewhere in the episode, Mason revealed that Stu had offered him a job in Germany and Lisa confronted Mason revealing her theory that his brothers Matty and Logan killed her late wife Becky.
After finding a WW2 helmet linking them to the scene of the crime, Mason shared the evidence with Lisa and decided it would be best if he left the country. His brothers were later arrested.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
