Coronation Street's Lucy Fallon announces pregnancy in beautiful post

Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has announced she's pregnant again.

The soap star shared a wonderful video on Instagram on Monday (August 19), where her 18-month-old son Sonny Jude hugged a baby scan of his sibling.

Lucy is later shown cradling her baby bump, before joining with partner Ryan Ledson and Sonny to celebrate that they are "halfway there" to the baby's arrival.

Several past and present Coronation Street stars shared their congratulations to Lucy and Ryan, with Tanisha Gorey (Asha Alahan) writing: "The best news EVER."

Ellie Leach (Faye Windass) shared an "OMG" over the pregnancy announcement, while Helen Flanagan (Rosie Webster) added: "Love you Lucy xxx"

Lucy and Ryan previously welcomed their "beautiful boy" Sonny in January 2023. Earlier this year, Lucy spoke on ITVbe's Drama Queens about how Sonny's birth helped her heal emotionally from a previous miscarriage.

"I just feel like because we had experienced some harder times before we had Sonny, and I think when I was pregnant with Sonny I was filled with so much anxiety," she explained on the ITVbe show.

"To kind of look back and think, 'Wow, what we've created,' it just feels even more special."

Lucy returned to Coronation Street over the holiday season as fan-favourite character Bethany Platt after nearly four years away from the cobbles.

"I always said to my family, 'Oh, when I go back in five years' time or whatever' that was always the conversation," she said in December.

"And I think as well as having a baby, it's nice to be able to come home to him and have that job as well. I feel like it was just the right timing for me... I'm really happy to be back."

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
