Coronation Street's Max to make false allegations over Daniel and Summer

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street teen Max Turner leaves Daniel Osbourne's career in jeopardy next month, as he accuses the schoolteacher of starting a relationship with his student Summer Spellman.

Max (Paddy Bever) jumps to conclusions as he sees Daniel and Summer continuing to spend time together outside of school hours.

Daniel (Rob Mallard) has helped Summer with her Oxford application in recent weeks. Summer has also been a babysitter for Daniel's young son Bertie.

In scenes airing early next month, Summer (Harriet Bibby) becomes unsteady on her feet after skipping lunch.

Daniel grabs Summer's arm to steady her and Max films the exchange, growing increasingly suspicious over what's going on between them.

Max also films Daniel slipping an energy bar into Summer's bag. He looks through Summer's bag to find out what Daniel put inside, but gets confused when he finds a love poem that Daniel previously wrote down for Summer as part of her studies.

Now more convinced than ever over his theory, Max confronts Daniel at the Ice Ball and accuses him of abusing his position with Summer.

Daniel is rattled when Max claims to have proof of his wrongdoing.

Summer confirms that Daniel did nothing wrong, while Daniel promises that he has never behaved inappropriately with a pupil. However, Max is quick to offer up all of the "proof" that he has managed to gather together.

As investigations continue, Summer inadvertently makes Daniel look guilty as she confides in Paul Foreman (Peter Ash).

Summer says that she connected emotionally with Daniel, but he couldn't act upon it because of his position at the school.

Paul is horrified by this and starts to think that Daniel must have been grooming Summer.

Summer is mortified when Paul decides to involve the police and she continues to defend Daniel to everyone.

The police are suspicious over a mysterious female visitor who stayed over with Daniel at the flat recently, but Summer confirms that it wasn't her.

She's also honest in a heart-to-heart with Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan), explaining that Daniel only ever showed her kindness and she had a huge crush on him.

Could Daisy be the one to help Daniel find a way through this mess?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, December 6 and Wednesday, December 8 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
