Coronation Street's Sarah Barlow breaks life-changing news to Bethany
Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Sarah Barlow has shared life-changing news with daughter Bethany Platt in Coronation Street.
Earlier this week, Daniel Osbourne received the alarming news that Bethany contracted sepsis after undergoing a secret liposuction procedure in Turkey.
As Daniel jetted to Turkey to be at Bethany's side, her mother Sarah Platt could only wait for more news back in Weatherfield because her passport had expired.
Sarah was eventually able to travel to see Bethany in Wednesday's (September 25) episode but found her daughter in grave condition.

Back in Weatherfield, David Platt interrogated Debbie Webster over whether she knew what Bethany was planning, yet Debbie insisted the trip was only supposed to be for a PR job.
As Sarah arrived at the hospital, she was horrified to learn from Daniel that Bethany's travel insurance policy wouldn't be valid because she hadn't disclosed she was getting surgery.
This meant that Bethany would not be able to leave Turkey until her entire medical bill was paid upfront.
Sarah turned against Daniel, accusing him of keeping secrets over his conversation with ex-girlfriend Daisy while Bethany was trying to get ahold of him before her surgery.

Daniel refused to betray Daisy's confidence by revealing what they'd discussed. Sarah figured out that Daisy was "still hung up" on Daniel, then accused him of "robbing" her of being there for her daughter as soon as possible.
"She is the most beautiful girl, but somehow she didn't think she was good enough. She was insecure about her body, and that's your fault," Sarah seethed.
After Sarah spoke to the doctor, she broke down in tears and ordered Daniel to go home. She then called the Platts to reveal that it would be £15,000 for Bethany's surgery and £2,000 extra for every day she was in the hospital.

She returned to Bethany's bedside to share some difficult news that the doctors had to fit her for a stoma bag that she'd have to wear for the rest of her life.
"There was a lot of damage to your bowel," Sarah explained to a shocked Bethany.
The episode ended with Sarah comforting her daughter as Bethany tried to comprehend the seriousness of the botched surgery.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
