Coronation Street's Sarah Platt's shock new affair 'exposed' - but viewers are sickened
Coronation Street’s Sarah Platt could be set for a new a shock affair, according to fans. Sarah (Tina O'Brien) has been a firm favourite on the cobbles for years. Making her debut in 1999, Sarah has gone on to become one of the soap’s most iconic and beloved characters.
She has also played a big part in several dramatic storylines over the years - from her dramatic teenage pregnancy to shock affairs. And over in the soap at the moment, she has been left heartbroken after daughter Bethany (Lucy Fallon) ended up with a permanent stoma bag, following botched surgery abroad.
In September, Bethany was left with a perforated bowel and life-threatening sepsis after she flew to Turkey to undergo botched liposuction. She was given an opportunity she couldn't refuse, which ended in disaster as doctors were forced to operate.

Her family was left panicking about hospital bills after it was made clear that her medical insurance wouldn’t cover the costs. As a result, Bethany’s grandmother Gail Platt (Helen Worth) ended up taking out a briefing loan so she could sell her house.
However, because of the surgery and sepsis, Bethany was fitted with a stoma bag - and has it for life. Bethany has returned to Weatherfield following her life-changing surgery - but has been struggling ever since.
Mum Sarah and boyfriend Daniel (Rob Mallard) have rallied around - but trying to navigate her new way of life, Bethany’s self-esteem has crumbled. What’s more, last week, she was left humiliated when her stomach bag leaked during her first outing back to the Rovers.
However, in what would be a huge twist, fans are certain Sarah is set to strike up a romance with none other than Daniel. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person said: “How long before Daniel and Sarah have an affair?”
Rushing to the comments section, fans agreed with the theory - but were not too happy. A second person said: “I can see it coming. Wouldn’t put it past her.” A third chimed in: “Thought that myself and I feel sick!” Echoing their thoughts, another person wrote: “Oh my god… I was literally thinking that.”
