Coronation Street's Sinead Tinker struggles tonight (August 19) after hearing the upsetting news about Emma Brooker's dad.
When Sinead (Katie McGlynn) pays a visit to the Bistro, she's surprised to learn that Emma's father has recently passed away after a battle with cancer.
Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) fills in Sinead over Emma's grief, leaving her surprised as her partner Daniel Osbourne hadn't told her anything about it.
Daniel had deliberately kept Sinead in the dark due to her own recent illness, knowing that it would upset her to hear about Emma's dad.

Just as Daniel had predicted, the revelation hits Sinead hard – although she's also annoyed with him for keeping quiet and wanting to wrap her in cotton wool.
Corrie fans know that Sinead was diagnosed with cervical cancer last year. Her treatment was successful, but she has always struggled with the thought that her illness could return.
The storyline is expected to be revisited in the coming months, with unconfirmed reports suggesting that Sinead will be leaving the show in heartbreaking scenes.
Meanwhile, there's drama in the Bistro tonight when Bethany realises that one of the customers used to attend Nathan Curtis's sick parties.

Emma's storyline will also continue as Steve McDonald secretly steals a tuft of hair from her head, wanting to arrange a DNA test and find out whether she's his biological daughter.
Coronation Street airs these scenes tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
