Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver has shared her disappointment as she declared to fans "that's me" in a new social media post.

The star, who is best known for playing Eileen Grimshaw on the cobbles, recently took on her "dream" job. Sue, 60, played Mother Superior in the stage production of the smash hit show, Sister Act: The Musical for a spell earlier this year.

During an appearance on ITV's Lorraine back in March, Sue spoke about the role and what it means for her Corrie character. When asked if she would be returning to the cobbles, Sue said: "Yes absolutely", but she has yet to reappear in the soap.

In a new update on Wednesday, the actress shared a video with her 154,000 Instagram followers. Speaking to the camera, she said: "Do you ever have one of those days where you sit on a platform and just watch the train that you're supposed to be getting on go right past you?

"That's me. Just waiting for the next one now."

As well as her role in Corrie, Sue has recently joined the Loose Women team, having presented the lunchtime show on a number of occasions.
