Toyah Battersby is on a mission to expose cult leader Rowan in the upcoming episodes of Coronation Street.

The ITV soap's loyal viewers are aware that Toyah has been trying to reveal the truth about Rowan and his 'self-improvement' institute for some time, especially after he managed to draw her sister Leanne Battersby into his web.

Despite Toyah's attempts to voice her concerns about The Institute, Leanne seems completely taken in by its positive thinking ethos.

Leanne even confides her deepest secrets to Rowan, unaware that he's using this information against her.

Meanwhile, Toyah is facing struggles of her own.

After sharing with Nick Tilsley the heartbreaking story of her stillborn baby girl Rose, the pair find themselves drawn together and end up sleeping together.

Rowan witnesses them kissing and uses it as leverage to force Toyah into signing an NDA to keep quiet about the institute. However, this doesn't stop Toyah from continuing her investigation into The Institute.

In scenes set to air soon, while Leanne is pressuring Amy Barlow to join the cult, Nick accompanies Toyah to her latest hospital appointment.

Later in the week, Toyah fruitlessly searches the internet for more information on Rowan.

At the same time, Rowan tries to coerce Nick into investing in a new resource centre, threatening to reveal his affair with Toyah if he refuses.

While all this is going on, Toyah manages to find Rowan's driving licence in his jacket pocket.

She uses the image online to reverse search him, leading to a significant discovery. But will it be enough to bring him down?

The actress, Georgia Taylor has hinted that her character, Toyah, on Coronation Street, will unravel secrets about Rowan's past that can serve as the evidence she needs to expose him. However, this quest may put Toyah in harm's way.

Georgia unveiled to The Mirror, "She actually finds out some stuff about his backstory which goes to further vindicate her because yes, we knew it all along, he's really dodgy! So she will find out some stuff eventually.

"We keep doing scene after scene [of her doing] some digging, but she's not found anything yet but she will."

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
