Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street has confirmed that Yasmeen Metcalfe will suffer a heart attack next week.
Yasmeen (Shelley King) collapses in prison on the day of her attempted murder trial, forcing the courts to delay the proceedings.
In the upcoming scenes, Yasmeen receives a visit from Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo) at the jail, shortly before she's due to leave for court.
Imran wants to have a final discussion about the case, but Yasmeen has a surprise for him which could help to secure her freedom.
Yasmeen tells Imran that she has recently received a visit from newcomer Elaine (Paula Wilcox), another former partner of Geoff's.
Elaine has told Yasmeen that she was also abused by Geoff. Imran promises to track her down to help Yasmeen's chances in court.
Suddenly, Yasmeen collapses to the ground in agony in the visiting room and has to be rushed to hospital.
Imran is horrified by the worrying turn of events, desperately hoping that Yasmeen will be okay.
Meanwhile, back on the street, Geoff (Ian Bartholomew) is heading out to go to court – supported by his son Tim (Joe Duttine).
Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) spots Elaine keeping a very close watch on Geoff and Tim, clearly heavily invested in Yasmeen's situation.
Shortly afterwards, Alya (Sair Khan) receives a worrying call and tells Ryan that Yasmeen has suffered a heart attack. Will she pull through?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, July 24 at 7.30pm on ITV.
