Coronavirus latest: Diamond Princess cruise ship Brits to be quarantined on the Wirral upon return
Britons due to be repatriated from the coronavirus-stricken cruise ship in Japan will be quarantined in NHS accommodation on the Wirral.
Those on board will be monitored and taken to Arrowe Park Hospital for a 14-day stay once they return to the UK, where previously rescued Brits were also housed.
Around 500 passengers have left the Diamond Princess cruise ship after a two-week quarantine that failed to stop the spread of coronavirus among passengers.
It comes as authorities announced a further 79 Covid-19 cases on the liner in Japan, bringing the total to 621 out of the original 3,700 people on board.
