A new video of stars thanking NHS staff for their hard work during the coronavirus pandemic has been released, featuring Olivia Colman and Hugh Grant.

Tom Hiddleston, Billie Eilish, Danny Dyer, Julie Walters, Simon Pegg, David Walliams, Thandie Newton and many more also appear in the video to express their gratitude to healthcare workers in the UK.

The clip opens with Gary Barlow singing the word “thank you” at the piano, and it ends with the following message from Colman: “All across the country, people want you to know how incredible you are and how grateful we are.

“You are an amazing army of brave, wonderful people. Thank you.”

The video has been released by NHS England and NHS Improvement as part of #ThankyouThursday, which includes the weekly Clap For Our Carers that takes place around the country at 8pm.

Over the last two Thursdays, other videos of gratitude have emerged, starring Daniel Craig, Elton John and many more.

The new clip comes as the UK daily coronavirus death toll surpasses 900 for the first time.
