Coronavirus Vaccines Arrive in UK

Coronavirus vaccines were delivered to Croydon University Hospital in London on December 6 in preparation for the biggest immunization program in the history of the UK’s health service, NHS England said.

Fifty hubs across the country will begin the first wave of vaccinations from Tuesday, December 8, immunizing people aged 80 and over, as well as care home workers and NHS workers who are at higher risk.

Louise Coughlan, joint chief pharmacist at Croydon Health Services, said: “This is just so exciting, it’s a momentous occasion.”
