• An article about candidates in the forthcoming general election (Some of the high-profile names ready to slug it out for a seat in the House, 29 April, page 10) said that in the Enfield North constituency Nick De Bois “will do battle for a third time with Labour’s Joan Ryan, whom he beat in 2010 and lost to in 2015”. In fact it will be the fifth time that they have contested the seat: Ryan defeated De Bois in the 2001 and 2005 elections.

• In a factbox about last Saturday’s world heavyweight title fight between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko (Tale of the tape, 29 April, page 3, Sport) we gave their weights as 17st 12oz and 17st 2oz respectively. The two boxers actually weighed in at 250.1lb (17st 12lb 2oz) and 240.5lb (17st 2lb 8oz).

• A review of the Channel 4 programme Escape to Costa Rica (Pick of the day, 29 April, page 52, Guide) referred to scientists who are helping to preserve “the island’s forests”. That should have said “the country’s forests”: Costa Rica is not an island; it is in Central America, between Nicaragua to its north and Panama to its south-east.
